SLEEP WITH A GHOST ON THE COAST THIS HALLOWEEN For those in search of spirited Halloween getaways and “bootiful” inns, Historic Inns of Rockland have obliged with a package that virtually guarantees guests will sleep with a ghost at each of their premier inns. Stay at the Captain Lindsey House, Berry Manor Inn or LimeRock Inn October 31, 2008 and you’ll be in for a hauntingly good time. Each guest booking the Ghost on the Coast Package will receive coordinating night shirts. One shirt will be emblazoned with a ghost; their partner’s night shirt will proudly assert ”I slept with a ghost on the Coast of Maine”. Unless they choose not to wear them, guests can claim with virtual certainty that they’ve slept with a ghost in Maine. Since a variety of friendly apparitions and unexplainable occurrences have happened at all three inns, it’s entirely possible that even without the night shirt, guests who choose to believe may have more than one chance to experience a ghost. Knowing that man is not entertained by ghosts alone, the Historic Inns of Rockland have added plenty more value to make Halloween weekend the perfect time to get away. Rockland’s historically renovated Strand Theater will feature a screamingly hilarious Halloween Spooktacular event, while area restaurants will open doors welcoming hungry Halloween revelers.
