Festival of Lights Package (November 28th – November 30th, 2008)

What better way to welcome the holiday season than to visit Rockland for a traditional, coastal town celebration? Santa arrives on Saturday via Coast Guard boat followed by a Parade down Main Street where everybody contributes canned goods to brighten the holidays for the needy. Stay for the conclusion of the parade at the Public Landing where you will be treated to caroling and hot chocolate around a bonfire.

The Historic House Tour on Sunday will include seasonal demonstrations by the Historic Inns of Rockland in gingerbread making, creative gift wrapping and Victorian holiday customs. For 2008, we will be demonstrating holiday breakfast entertaining for a crowd.  Our shops and galleries are open extended hours for your convenience making this a great alternative to fighting for a parking space at the mall. Grown-ups also get to indulge in foods of the season during the “Eat, Drink and Be Merry” celebration on Main Street Saturday afternoon.. The package includes the following:
